In partnership with Southern California Edison (SCE), PromisePay offers an online automatic payment program that is designed to help eligible customers manage their past-due balances and prevent possible service interruptions.

SCE Customers will pay a $1.65 transaction fee for all credit/debit card, ApplePay, GooglePay, and prepaid debit card payments through PromisePay. The fee is assessed per transaction.

Customers without access to a credit/debit card or bank account may enroll with a prepaid debit card. These reloadable, prepaid cards can be purchased at your local grocery store and may be refilled and used for automatic payments. The card needs to be registered and funded before enrolling. Please note: these are not gift cards. Certain cards charge activation fees, so it's important to load a sufficient amount to cover both the activation fee and your PromisePay plan enrollment payment.
The PromisePay plan payment amount should have a descriptor of "PromisePay – SCE" on your bank statement.
Your plan covers the balance in your PromisePay plan at the time of enrollment. Any new SCE bills issued after that must be paid directly to SCE.
New bill charges will be paid to SCE - you must continue to pay your new bill charges directly to SCE. Your agreed upon PromisePay plan payments must be paid to Promise.
PromisePay plans are designed to be flexible - you can request a one-time extension or adjust key aspects of your plan as needed, as long as you make at least one payment each month.
To avoid any disruption of service, please make sure to submit timely payments on your established PromisePay plan and pay each subsequent monthly SCE bill by their respective due dates.
Yes, if you sign up for a payment plan with PromisePay you can still get any available community-based grants or other relief that you are otherwise qualified for.
